By the time this song was composed, I believed we, Batch Turao 2009, were honored to firstly sing and perform the very first hymn of the school during the commencement exercises then. Zaratan Educational Institute, Inc., formerly Zaratan Rural Institute, Inc., the management and the late principal Ms. Pricila May Zaratan have decided to compose a hymn that will best describe the school's vision and mission. Through the help of Mr. Dionisio Tenepere, an alumnus and theater teacher, Ms. Zaratan came up to produce a Tagalog (with a little bit Pangasinan mix), prideful, touchy song lyrics entitled "Awit ng ZRI", now had changed to "Awit ng ZEI" with the new administration. Unfortunately, I neither have the MP3 soft copy nor the CD. It should have lost anywhere else, or might have gone at all. P.S. This memorable piece of work is always especially dedicated to the late Ms. Pricila May L. Zaratan who have made a lot of great contributions and changes when she was still administering the ZEII. She's one of a kind principal. Your name will always be tattooed in our heart. Having such an incomparable wit, God-fearing personality and the benevolence you have shown to us till your last breath. We are all proud ZARATANI as you termed to us alumni. I'd rather preferred that than Zaratanians. LOL :)
