When Typhoon Haiyan (known locally as Typhoon Yolanda) hit the Central Philippines I was devastated. It really hurts to see a place and people you care about so much suffer so much loss. As well as donating physical goods I wanted to help musically as well. Fortunately one night soon after the Typhoon hit God blessed me with the inspiration to write this song. After the verses and chorus were done I asked my good friend singer/songwriter Sam Mangubat to contribute some Tagalog lyrics, and that's how the bridge was shaped.
We will be donating all of the money generated from the monetization of YouTube views of this video directly to Haiyan Vicitims, so by simply enjoying this video and SHARING it with your friends you will also be helping in relief efforts. ...We'll soon be putting this song up on iTunes as well with all the proceeds from downloads also going to Filipinos who are in great need.
