One of the most spectacular highlights in celebrating the 209th Founding Anniversary of Aguilarenos was the 2014 Ansakket Festival or commonly known as Malagkit Festival (Tagalog) or to term in English is The Glutinous Rice / Sticky Rice Festival. Hovering to the outskirts area all the way from the north-western part of Pangasinan, low-land Aguilar is very rich in rice sticky grains and apparently farming is residents' main local occupation. Farming is yet the people's hobby they are proud of.
As part of this first-ever celebration, July 16, 2014 marked the biggest event Aguilar has ever honored. It is where you would taste different and most likely unique recipes on How to Cook Sticky Rice Grains Aguilar Version. We've got everything you wanted to think of and taste it from your watery mouth. Probably, one thing that captured my eye was this spicy and sweet bibingka (a variety of rice cake). There were many of the best yet sweetest sticky rice recipes you'll just about to witness by your eyes.
A part of this, the municipal council also organized streetdancing/ritual competition held at the heart of the town. Joined by participants coming from the four corners of the blessed, happy suburb, the faest became more colorful and cheerful. Well, it's main purpose is to acknowledge and honor the blessings the town patron, St. Joseph The Patriarch (San Jose) has given to everyone in the village town and to commemorate the festivity of Ansakket of course.

How to travel?
This natural-made park is best for its super cold lagoons and has one falls. Travelling from the main road of Romulo Highway or from Zaratan Educational Institute, Inc. Pogomboa, Aguilar, to this 9.5-kilometer (6-mile) proud-to-be place, takes more or less two hours of walking or thirteen minutes of driving.Aguilar Eco-Park Adventure Lagoons and Lagoons is in the process of development and improvement under the engineering department of Aguilar LGU for us to have an easy travel and cozy stay visit. In this regards, there are a shed, comfort rooms, and tents to be built along the extremities of the park. Zip lines is on the table too. Rough roads were being renovated so that tourists who bring vehicles could park theirs thoroughly. For now, it is best for you to bring tight ropes, and other related gears for safety measures because all the way down to the falls is kinda risky.

These songs are two of the most popular, oldest Christmas folk songs originally came from Pangasinan, Philippines. These songs were all about celebrating the birth of Christ and the holiness of Christmas season. Inter Na Dios and Niyanak are also an in-demand song used to sing by most of the carolers in the barangays or villages in Pangasinan. To date, both are still heard every yuletide seasons. Aguilar
Aguilar was founded as a municipality in July 16, 1805 through a decree issued by Governor General Rafael Maria de Aguilar whom this town was named after. Local folklores likewise maintained that Aguilar was identified with an eagle or agila that used to fly around the place at nighttime and would perch on a fence or alar when tired of flying, hence, agila and alar put together formed AGUILAR.
