Good Time - Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City LYRICS
American singer-producer Owl City (aka Adam Young) has
recruited 'Call Me Maybe' star Carly Rae Jepsen to feature on the track
"Good Time", the official lead single from his fourth studio album "The
Midsummer Station", due out in stores in the Fall of 2012 via Universal
Republic. Although at first this duet was labeled as 'random' by many
(Owl City and Carly together?), I am pleased to announce "Good Time" is a
simply perfect synth-pop jam! The beat, the uplifting sentiment, and
Carly's current 'stardom' status and media exposure thanks to 'Call Me
Maybe' will definitely open "Good Time" doors.
Good Time lyrics by Owl City.
Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woke up on the right side of the bed
What's up with this Prince song inside my head?
Hands up if you're down to get down tonight
Cuz it's always a good time.
Slept in all my clothes like I didn't care
Hopped into a cab, take me anywhere
I'm in if you're down to get down tonight
Cuz it's always a good time
Good morning and good night
I wake up at twilight
It's gonna be alright
We don't even have to try
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.
Freaked out, dropped my phone in the pool again
Checked out of my room hit the ATM
Let's hang out if you're down to get down tonight
Cuz it's always a good time
Good morning and good night
I wake up at twilight
It's gonna be alright we don't even have to try
It's always a good time.
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
We don't even have to try, it's always a good time.
Doesn't matter when
It's always a good time then
Doesn't matter where
It's always a good time there
Doesn't matter when,
It's always a good time then
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
We don't even have to try, it's always a good time
Woah-oh-oh-oh Woah-oh-oh-oh
It's always a good time

This is the debut single by American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips, which he performed at the finale after beating runner-up Jessica Sanchez - "Home" is an indie/folk track produced by Drew Pearson and co-written by Pearson and Greg Holden. The single debuted at #10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in late May 2012, making Phillip Phillip the first 'Idol' winner to crack the Top 10 on that chart since David Cook. Critics have dubbed "Home" as 'one of the best American Idol coronation songs of all time'. Yet, Phillips has said 'Home' isn't really his style.
Home Lyrics by Phillip Phillips.
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you’re not alone
Cause I’m going to make this place your home
