These songs are two of the most popular, oldest Christmas folk songs originally came from Pangasinan, Philippines. These songs were all about celebrating the birth of Christ and the holiness of Christmas season. Inter Na Dios and Niyanak are also an in-demand song used to sing by most of the carolers in the barangays or villages in Pangasinan. To date, both are still heard every yuletide seasons. Arnel Pineda's This Christmas single pays tribute to Yolanda victims (MP3 Download & Lyrics)
The devastation of the recent super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) has brought Journey frontman Arnel Pineda to compose a song especially dedicated to Yolanda victims in the blink of an eye. The title of the song was This Christmas as a tribute for them. He performed this song already during his one-week stay as a judge on It's Showtime show in ABS-CBN. Watch the video below.

PHOTOS: 2nd Recycled and Indigenous Filipino Christmas Lanterns Contest (Parols) 2012
Yuletide season is just breezing around! For its second time, students of Pangasinan State Univeristy - Lingayen Campus celebrate the annual competition of Indigenous and Recycled Lanterns Year 2012. Joined by different competitive departments which includes by the following: ICT and CS Dept., Math Dept., HM Dept., ND Dept. Social Work Dept., Technology Dept., PhySci Dept., Professional Educ. Dept, ComArts Dept., SocStud Dept., and SocSci Dept., each of them showed their amazing creativeness and meticulous artistry in designing a three-and-a-half-dimension of a lantern made of any indigenous and recycled materials. "Imagination is only the limit" took place in this contest. Below are the entries of recycled and indigenous parols contest that have been showcased by each respective course programs.

PHOTOS: 1st Recycled and Indigenous Christmas Lanterns Contest (Parol) 2011
It's Christmas time in Pangasinan State University - Lingayen Campus. Time to see beautiful lanterns again as PSU has first launched its Recycled and Indigenous Christmas Lanterns Contest (Parol) on 4th of December 2011. The competition is open to all department programs, clubs and organizations just within the campus only. Once they are all done, the parols are displayed publicly and will be tested with its tenacity and endurance not less than a month around the clock. Prizes and special awards will take place after.
